About MixClap
MixClap is an online tool that joins several songs into a single audio file: a first dance medley, a recital soundtrack, a cheer routine, a class playlist. It is built and maintained by a small independent team based in France.

What MixClap does
You import your songs and keep the useful part of each one. MixClap joins them with tempo-aware transitions, sets the level of the mix and exports a single file, ready for a DJ, a sound desk or a jury.
The tool also covers two related needs: fitting a song to an exact length, and finding the tempo of a track.
Why this tool exists
Building a three-minute medley should not require learning a digital audio workstation. The needs are always the same: a set length, clean transitions, a steady level, a file you can hand to someone else. MixClap does only that, in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
Your files stay on your device
In the editor, trimming, transitions, loudness measurement and encoding run in your browser. Your songs are not uploaded to our servers.
One exception: if you use the MixClap app inside ChatGPT, the songs you authorise are copied to temporary private storage. Access expires after 24 hours at most, then the files are deleted.
How MixClap is funded
Preparing and listening to the mix is free and needs no account. You pay to export the final file, per export, with no subscription. That payment is the only revenue of the service.
Who publishes MixClap
MixClap is published by a French sole proprietorship. The publisher's identity, company number and host are listed in the legal notice.
Articles, guides and use-case pages are signed "MixClap Team": the service stands behind them, and their figures follow the method described on our Methodology page.
